As 2018 comes to an end, I want to share a few of our highlights and accomplishments from the year. As a questioner, I realize the end of the calendar year is an arbiturary date but I still enjoy taking the time to reflect on the events of the year.
While there were ups and downs like anything in life, I’m very thankful 2018 was such a good year for us. We are still in transition with this trip but it’s off to a positive start!
Here were some of our big moments:
- We got married!
- We left on this big adventure to find an area of the country to call home.
- It was a big travel year for my husband. He made it to the Atlantic Ocean for the first time as well as the Canadian and Mexican borders over the summer for work.
- There were two new babies born to our families!
- We shared a camping trip with my husband’s family where they used to go every year as children.
- Our dog, Pearl, needed surgery and after quite a long recovery, she’s doing great! My husband was the one to care for her and keep her incisions clean when I couldn’t handle the blood. This seems to have bonded them together for good!
- This blog began.
- I reached my goal of reading 100 books in a year.
I hope 2018 was full of your own adventures! As the year comes to a fulfilled close, I wish 2019 starts off right for all. Happy New Year!
